Do I need a GP referral?

No. OptiLabs operates as a direct-access testing service. You order online, we email you the pathology form or post the collection kit. Every report includes a GP-formatted PDF you can share with your doctor afterwards.

Where do I go to collect my sample?

Australian pathology tests can be collected at any major pathology network (Australian Clinical Labs, Healius/Laverty, Sonic). At-home kits ship for saliva, urine, stool and finger-prick collection.

My standard GP tests came back normal. Why would this be different?

Standard reference ranges are designed to catch disease, not sub-clinical patterns. We interpret against functional ranges and the clinical picture, not just the lab's normal/abnormal flag.
