Frequently asked.

Common questions about how OptiLabs works: testing, supplements, clinician review, returns and timing.

What's the difference between ubiquinol and ubiquinone?
Ubiquinone is the oxidised form of CoQ10 found in most supplements — the body must convert it to ubiquinol to use it. Ubiquinol is the already-reduced, active form. After age 40, the conversion from ubiquinone to ubiquinol becomes less efficient, making direct ubiquinol supplementation more effective.
Are the supplements safe?
All carry an AUST L designation from the TGA. Every order is reviewed by a clinician before dispatch.
Do I need a referral?
No. All tests are available to order directly. Our lab partner is NATA and RCPA accredited, operating as a direct-access pathology service.
