What it measures 6 markers
Cortisol (x4 points)
Saliva

The four point rhythm is far more informative than any single cortisol reading. Reveals flattening (burnout pattern), reversed rhythm (high at night, low in morning) or elevation at specific times.

Reference range: Waking peak, gradual decline to near zero at bedtime

DHEA
Saliva

The adrenal hormone that counter balances cortisol. Low DHEA with elevated cortisol is the classic chronic stress pattern.

Reference range: Declines with age, low in chronic stress

Oestradiol (E2)
Saliva

Saliva reflects free, unbound oestradiol, which is the biologically active fraction.

Reference range: Measures bioavailable oestrogen

Progesterone
Saliva

The free fraction of progesterone, which correlates with symptoms more reliably than total serum levels.

Reference range: Measures bioavailable progesterone

Testosterone (Free)
Saliva

Women produce testosterone too. Low free testosterone is associated with low libido, low mood and reduced muscle mass.

Reference range: Measures active testosterone

Progesterone:Oestradiol Ratio
Calculated

One of the most useful ratios in assessing perimenopausal symptom drivers. Low progesterone relative to oestradiol often explains PMS, sleep and mood symptoms in the late 30s and 40s.

Reference range: Context dependent
