Evail phytosome complex
Berberine (as Berberis aristata extract phytosome)
Berberine alkaloid extracted from Berberis aristata and bound to phospholipids using the Evail phytosome system. AMPK activation supports healthy glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. The phytosome delivery achieves significantly higher plasma levels than standard berberine HCl.
250mg berberine (equiv. 2.5g dry root)

How to take it
Simple to take, with a few timing notes that make a real difference to absorption.
2 capsules three times daily, or as professionally prescribed. Best taken with meals to support post-meal glucose regulation.

Is berberine the same as metformin?
Berberine and metformin share the AMPK activation mechanism and have been compared in clinical trials for blood glucose management. They are chemically distinct compounds. Berberine is a plant-derived supplement and cannot be described as equivalent to a prescription medicine. Anyone managing diabetes should work with their doctor rather than replacing prescribed medication with supplements.
