Required for thyroid hormone synthesis and for the action of thyroid hormone nuclear receptors. Zinc deficiency impairs both T4 production and T3 receptor binding.
How to take it
As directed. Typically taken with food. Do not take on an empty stomach, may cause nausea.
Warnings and important information
Do not exceed recommended dose, chronic high-dose zinc (above 40mg daily) can impair copper absorption. Zinc supplementation should be matched with dietary assessment and testing where possible. Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
